TAFMER™ XM is used as a modifier of polypropylene (PP) to improve Heat Seal Initation Temperature (HSIT) and Transparency. Additionally, it is able to lower HSIT when blended with certain Terpolymer PPs.
In packaging film applications, the benefits of enhancing PP with
TAFMER™ are:
• Lower Heat Seal Initiation Temperature (HSIT)
• Film Transparency
• Miscibility with PP for maintaining resistance to abrasion
• Outstanding balance of HSIT and coefficient of friction (COF) for
polypropylene sealant applications
