USI ViviOn™ CBC 8210 XT

USI ViviOn™ CBC 8210 XT

USI ViviOn™ CBC 8210 XT is a high-purity cyclic block copolymer (CBC) additive designed to enhance stiffness, enable downgauging, and deliver controlled easy-tear performance in PE/PP packaging films.

Key Performance Advantages:

- Ultra-high clarity (92% light transmittance, low haze)
- Exceptional purity & very low extractables/outgassing
- High UVC and UV‑Vis transparency (UVC grades)
- Low moisture absorption (<0.01%)
- Excellent chemical resistance to acids, bases, alcohols, ketones, and solvents
- Thermal stability & UV durability
- High impact resistance (grade‑dependent)
- Wide processing compatibility (injection, extrusion, ISBM)
- Regulatory compliance for medical, food contact, electronics, and consumer use (USP Class VI, ISO10993, REACH, RoHS, etc.)

Rigid packaging

CBC (Cyclic Block Copolymer) is an advanced specialty polymer engineered through anionic polymerization and catalytic full hydrogenation, enabling exceptional purity, clarity, and performance across demanding applications. Developed through decades of USI’s materials innovation, CBC offers a unique balance of optical, mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties that differentiate it from traditional transparent polymers such as PC, COP, COC, and PMMA.

Flexible packaging

CBC delivers ultra high visible light transmittance (≈92%), very low haze (<1%), and exceptionally low extractables, making it an ideal choice for industries requiring high-purity, high-transparency materials—ranging from medical devices and bio diagnostics to optics, semiconductor carriers, UVC disinfection, and lightweight consumer products.

Textiles

Thanks to its low moisture uptake (<0.01%), superb chemical resistance, and excellent UV and thermal stability, CBC maintains clarity and performance even in harsh environments. Its broad processing versatility—including injection molding, extrusion, and ISBM—enables manufacturers to adopt CBC in diverse forming processes without compromising quality.
