EPICHLOMER™ H is a homopolymer of Epichlorhydrin monomer, ECH. It's designated as CO by ASTM, the American Society for Testing Materials. The main polymer chain of EPICHLOMER™ H has an ether bond and no double bond resulting in good heat and ozone resistance. The side chain of EPICHLOMER™ H has polar chlorine groups allowing EPICHLOMER™ H to have high fuel resistance and gas impermeability. Additionally, the chlorine groups act as a cross-linking site with cure agents such as Ethylene thiourea, Polythiols.
Grade Description:
Offers excellent heat resistance, oil resistance, gas permeation resistance. H50 is also available which offers a lower mooney viscosity.
